Hi Yassine, how did you get good at what you do?

I studied at ENSIAS (National School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis) in Morocco, where I earned an Official State Engineering degree specialising in Software Engineering and Systems Design.

I came to Finland in 2019 as an exchange student at Aalto University, where I had the opportunity to study computer science for a semester, and at the same time, I was working part-time as a research assistant in the MOSA!C Lab in Aalto University, helping PhD students accomplish their tasks by developing applications they needed to advance their research projects.

From 2019 to 2022, I developed and led features that interacted with the Salesforce ecosystem and external services, starting as a Salesforce Developer and later advancing to Team Lead over 3.5 years. Building on this experience, I then served as a Senior Developer from 2022 to 2025, specialising in full-stack features using Apex, LWC, and Visualforce, and successfully integrating Salesforce with an external .NET service via Connected Apps and OAuth 2.0.

Why Columbia Road?

I have always wanted to expand my knowledge of Salesforce beyond brand licensing and cybersecurity, and I felt that consulting would be the best environment in which to explore new industries.

After doing some research, Columbia Road caught my interest as a company offering this, and, being agnostic about technologies, I felt that not only would I get to explore new industries, but I would also have the chance to work with new technologies.

What makes your heart beat a little faster?

In my free time, I play volleyball, which has been my hobby since college, and I have always admired the sport for the thinking and athletic skills required to win. Team collaboration is the core of the sport, requiring effective communication with all team members and constant improvisation to adapt to various scenarios.
