Committed to eliminating maritime corruption, the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) partnered with Columbia Road to transform its member engagement through a global, data-driven framework. We implemented an integrated Salesforce and Tableau solution that streamlines operations, empowers members with a modern portal, and optimises MACN’s anti-corruption data, enabling the organisation to expand its global impact.

Starting point: from manual processes to a global vision

The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) is a globally recognised initiative committed to eliminating corruption across the maritime industry. As the network's mission expanded, so did its operational demands. MACN's existing digital setup, reliant on manual Excel-based processes, was no longer fit for purpose.

Originally focused on enhancing its HelpDesk system, MACN's ambition rapidly evolved into a larger-scale digital transformation. The aim was to create a unified, scalable ecosystem that would serve not only immediate operational needs but also longer-term strategic objectives. Key goals included modernising member engagement, streamlining internal workflows, and enabling efficient access to training and anti-corruption tools.

Our approach: building an integrated, scalable platform using Salesforce and Tableau

The collaboration began with replacing the HelpDesk using Salesforce Service Cloud, bringing consistency and efficiency to a once-siloed function. However, through continuous dialogue, the project scope grew to encompass a broader transformation. The end-to-end solution was built on Salesforce's ecosystem:

  • Salesforce Service Cloud for a harmonised and efficient HelpDesk process
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud as the core CRM to manage member relationships and engagement
  • Salesforce Experience Cloud to create a modern member portal with self-service access to resources, onboarding, and training
  • Tableau for bringing MACN’s extensive anti-corruption data to life through intuitive, powerful visualisations

We prioritised the use of standard Salesforce components to ensure cost-efficiency, maintainability, and a smooth onboarding experience for the MACN team. Our approach was highly agile and collaborative, with close engagement from MACN stakeholders at every step. This empowered the organisation to confidently adopt and scale the new tools while ensuring internal ownership and long-term sustainability.
