Hi Ella, How did you get good at what you do?
I initially pursued a degree in art education as I was fascinated by visual culture and human cognition. However, after graduation, I discovered that these same interests were also applicable in the field of UX design. So, I continued my studies at Aalto University to become a designer. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with talented individuals who have helped me grow and refine my skills.
Why Columbia Road?
The company culture, with its emphasis on data-driven design, and the focus on results-driven teams, was a major draw for me. But most importantly, I knew the people here were incredibly talented and humble, and I am pleased to say that my experience at CR has exceeded my expectations so far.
What makes your heart beat a little faster?
I find great joy in anything that is visually appealing and well-designed. In my free time, I enjoy creating non-digital designs, mostly in ceramics. I also make a point to appreciate the beauty of nature whenever I can. Camping in a hammock on a winter night and enjoying the stars is one of my current favorite experiences.
