Juuso_HaapanenHi Juuso, How did you get good at what you do?

I have always spent lots of time reading and studying various interests of mine. I’ve built my marketing automation and CRM knowledge from scratch by trying things in practice. I studied computer science and software engineering at university with a twist of some maths, social sciences, and business studies. Furthermore, I have put a lot of effort into understanding how different concepts and theories relate to what I do at work.

Where have you earned your spurs?

I started my career as a data analyst but was soon thrown into the deep end of the pool to work with marketing automation and CRM projects. I’ve worked with several of the most commonly used marketing automation tools in exciting and demanding customer projects. Both my customers and colleagues have appreciated my profoundly technical viewpoint in solving challenging problems. I've also deepened my knowledge of different technologies by studying on my own and forming an extensive overview of the pros and cons of the various technologies.

I’ve been fortunate to work with many interesting clients and projects in the last ten years and have been part of great success stories, as well as some failures. Both have taught me valuable lessons.

I have a relatively clear vision of what kinds of projects I want to work on and how my expertise is best put to use. I have a good understanding of what kind of challenges companies are facing in the digital environment, especially in the marketing automation field. What makes your heart beat a little faster?

I'm a curious person and want to learn more about everything – I read quite a lot about different things and study in my free time, either towards a degree or just for fun. Even if I’m not very fast, strong or athletic in any way, I have phases when I love to exercise a lot. This, together with good food and drinks, create the perfect balance with work.
